Rebates & Utility Incentives
A properly maintained heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system can help to significantly reduce your home’s overall energy use, especially during the summer.
Surprising to many homeowners, furnaces often add expense to the monthly cooling bill—air conditioners use the furnace fan to blow inside the home. New furnaces provide more efficient fans, and can offer advanced climate optimization to capture wasted cooling.
Likewise, a regular air conditioning refrigerant charge and air flow performance test will save energy and help extend the life of your air conditioner—inspections should be performed every three to five years. Installing an enhanced time delay relay (ETDR) will also greatly reduce the amount of electricity consumed by your air conditioner.
Current Rebates
In addition to savings from greater heating and cooling efficiency, testing and sealing your HVAC ducts may qualify you for a rebate of up to $400 from PG&E.
Installed equipment with variable a speed motor receives $50 credit from PG&E
A federal tax credit of up to $1,500 is available for the installation of qualifying equipment
