Possible Changes Coming April 2020!

Friday, December 27th, 2019

Over the past few years, The San Joaquin Air District has been lobbing manufactures to develop an Ultra-Low Nox Furnace, for outdoor air quality. There have been mitigation fees assessed on all gas furnaces and package units over the last few years. Now a critical deadline is approaching — in just over 4 months (April 1, 2020) the current furnaces will no longer be available by our distributes for installation; only Ultra Low Nox units will be sold by all distributors.

Here is the problem: all manufacturers have been working on developing a compliant furnace, and the development of these furnaces has been met with poor success. There have been many problems with the new required furnaces. We are informing as many of our clients as possible to the changes coming April 1, 2020. If you have been thinking about replacing your existing system, now is the time (before the deadline of April 1, 2020.) We are unclear what the reliability and safety issues will be for these new furnaces or if there will even be furnaces to install. We do not want our clients to be test subjects.

If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact the team at California Indoor Comfort Inc.
